  • Meet Ms Carolyn Davis

    Carolyn Davis, Leadership Team

    Carolyn Davis grew up in racially segregated Tyler, graduating from John Tyler High School (recently renamed Tyler High School). She attended Tyler Junior College and obtained a certification in business. Carolyn later obtained a bachelor's degree from U. T. Tyler along with her teacher certification.

    Carolyn also attended U. T. Arlington, where she obtained a master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has taught in several school districts, including Tyler, Chapel Hill, and also St. Louis, Missouri. Most recently, she retired from Dallas ISD.

    Uriah Johnson, Episcopal Diocese Leader, Community Partner

    Uriah serves as Campus Missioner for the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, working with college students in Tyler and Nacogdoches. Born in Tyler, Uriah attended and graduated from Bullard High School, Tyler Junior College, and the University of Texas at Tyler.

    He has dedicated himself in matters of service to both Church and Community and is honored to have the opportunity to serve in this capacity

  • Meet Mr. D.G. Montalvo

    D.G. Montalvo, Research / Advisory

    D.G. is a justice advocate, author, and creative. A first-generation Mexican-American. After a 20yr career in design & advertising, including many varied positions in several mega-churches & international NGOs, D.G. returned to school to earn a Master of Arts in Global Leadership from Fuller in Pasadena, CA. His studies focused on assessing organizational dynamics, understanding character development, and examining contemporary culture among other leadership essentials.

    His book, Tyler’s History of White Supremacy, which makes the case for local lynching memorials, is available on dgmontalvo.com.

    DG lives with his wife of almost 20 years in the heart of East Texas, Tyler, their adult special needs son, and their two beagles, Chompsky & Chelsea.

  • Meet Ms Jennyfer Keohane

    Jennyfer Keohane, Communications / PR

    Jennyfer Keohane is the oldest child of Richard and Evelyn Keohane Lopez Roman. Born in New Haven CT, Jennyfer was raised in the East NY area of Brooklyn, NY. In high school she studied Para Medicine, volunteering for BSVAC, a community run ambulance Corp created to bridge the 911 gap of NYC lower income area of Bedford Stuyvesant. In college she continued her Para Medicine studies until 1997 when her family suffered the loss of her youngest sister from gang violence. After the birth of her 2 children with her husband Charles Parkes III, she returned to college majoring in Theatre Arts and Mass Communication focusing on Media and Journalism. In 2002 she began her fight as an animal advocate fighting against animal abuse and Breed Specific Legislation, opening Brooklyns Home for Unwanted Bullies Inc.(Pink PitBull Rescue and Advocacy) taking in Bully Breed Dogs and Exotic Animals. In addition to her work for animals, she is an outspoken advocate for persons with disabilities.

    Currently Jennyfer works as a freelance Make Up and Special FX artist in stage and film and occasionally contracts for multiple marketing and event management companies for promotional events.
